This device is a replacement of our successful first generation TSPro. It offers serial diagnostics and up to 4-channel digital oscilloscope.
Our main goal when designing the device was to improve and add new functions to the TSPro device required by current trends in vehicle diagnostics while preserving functions our customers liked on the first generation TSPro.
The TSPro diagnostic device is connecting the world of mobile devices and personal computing. As the current trend is to perform vehicle diagnostics using a laptop or a PC the TSPRO device is fully compliant with this type of workflow. A personal computer offers user friendly graphical interface for diagnosing vehicles and can also be used together with information systems, such as Vivid Workshop. The main advantage of the the new TSPro Color is that the device merges advantages of mobile diagnostic devices with PC-based diagnostic tools. TSPro Color is equipped with a colorful touch-screen and a simple keyboard, meaning that users can perform car diagnostics in challenging situation outside workshop and even without a personal computer. When connected to a PC all diagnostic functions are available via a computer program. In this mode the TSPro Color serves as a converter between the vehicles ECU and your PC.

DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTIONS OF SERIAL DIAGNOSTICS
In several of the following, we try to describe and demonstrate some of the TSPro / TSPro Color diagnostics functions. Their range and use depends on the module and type of control unit.
This function can be used to display the control unit identification data, such as part number designation, program version, VIN etc. This information may be important if you need to replace the control unit or other damaged part.
FAULT MEMORY READING
The function allows to display all faults stored in the control unit memory. If the fault memory is not empty, the faults are listed together with the fault number (corresponding to the service documentation), type of fault and description. Most systems divide faults into several groups, · persistent or present errors (those that are present at the moment of reading on the vehicle) · sporadic or absent errors (errors that have already been eliminated) · errors possible (CU detects hints of error but not yet able to confirm this)

DELETING FAULT MEMORY
Removing memory faults is a very important step that must be performed after removing the causes of faults stored in the controller's memory. Without this step, the system would remain in safe mode and the light would continue to light.
This step is needed to verify that the fix has been performed. If the vehicle has been repaired and then removed in the control unit's memory using the "fault clearing" function, the indicator light is no longer illuminated.
The function allows us to monitor what information the control unit receives from the individual sensors of the system, or how it interprets the information it receives, what state it is in or what instructions it gives to the actuators. Of course, the amount and type of parameters available depend on the particular vehicle (engine, design, equipment, etc.). For most systems, the parameter name is displayed as well as the value and, if applicable, the unit. The quantities are displayed either by the real value from the sensor or by conversion to the measured value (eg the coolant temperature is usually given in ° C as well as the measured voltage on the temperature sensor).
With the "Actuator Test" function, the actuator test can be called up to verify that some important system components, such as throttles, relays, valves, pumps, ignition coils, etc., are working directly on the vehicle. Another advantage is the fact that we test the element including wiring and connector connections. The range of features that can be tested is determined by the capabilities of the control unit of the system used and, of course, the equipment of the vehicle. The test itself is carried out in principle so that the control unit gives instructions to the tested actuator and at the same time the correct operation is monitored either directly by the control unit or by the operator.
This function can be performed in most cases if the engine is not started.
Settings / Configuration
With this function, it is possible to read and possibly change some of the values stored in the control unit, thus correctly adapting it to replaced parts (eg throttle unit) or other specific requirements (setting the idle speed).
When setting new values, you need to be aware of the reach of the requested change and use it only in justified cases and with a good knowledge of the relevant service procedures. Setting incorrect values may result in malfunction of the engine or any other system.
TS PRO Oscilloscope 20MS/s -4 Channels
The TS PRO COLOR is equipped with a new and fast oscilloscope. This oscilloscope works at a sampling rate of 20MS / s (20 million samples per second) in 4 channel mode. Sampling frequency does not divide, so each channel operates at full speed, ie 20MS / s. These parameters are necessary for measuring fast events in the vehicle, especially the ignition and the CANBUS communication bus. Voltage ranges are from 50mV to 300V, so they meet eg HV sensor (pliers) to primary ignition etc. All ranges are realized by precise input circuits and amplifiers (not software enlargement / amplification) !!
Obviously, TSPro can record data both in the form of an image or as a single measurement, as well as a long recording, so called logging or recording. The device has a memory card for this purpose, which can be stored for over an hour, and much more can be stored on the hard disk when connected to a PC. Recorded waveforms can be viewed and enlarged in both TSPro and PC. Of course, it is possible to insert timestamps for recording, for easy orientation in a long recording.
An integral part of the oscilloscope software is a database of sample waveforms and preset voltage ranges and times for measuring selected signals in the vehicle - such as lambda probes, injection valves and primary ignition. When using a PC connection, in addition to long-term recording with the possibility of inserting time stamps, the stop and zoom function of the rendered area is available.
The rich measuring probe and probe accessories make the device ideal for detecting faults in vehicle electronic systems when serial diagnostics are no longer sufficient.
